“PROGRESS IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT CHANGE, AND THOSE WHO CANNOT CHANGE THEIR MINDS CANNOT CHANGE ANYTHING”
George Bernard Shaw
With this I welcome all my listeners, I am here to share my views on the most crucial topic around the globe i.e. Environment and nature can be conserved at home.
Who says it cannot be??
Very often, we come around slogans like save water, save resources, stop pollution and what not!!. But has anyone ever thought about the real meaning of all of these .We tend to leave these things on the government and different associations, thinking that this is not our part of duty. But in reality, our contribution from basics can make a big difference. If we want to make the Earth a better place to live for us and coming generations, we will have to change our lifestyle first. And our life begins from home. Once we start practicing rain water harvesting or any other method to conserve the environment, we can also encourage our friends, relatives and neighbours. And that’s exactly how we can create a chain to conserve the environment and countless resources.
We always need to start any project or mission from a smaller scale and eventually make it reach heights. A single person can also make a great change. And so can a whole community!!!
As we know about Gauri Devi who single-handedly started the ‘Chipko Movement’ ; Medha Patkar played an active role in the ‘ Narmada Bachao Movement’ and later she was joined by many activists. These are the remarkable examples of people who did wonders with their efforts and will power. So I hereby ask all my countrymen, can’t we, being a responsible citizen of our country take an initiative to safeguard the beautiful gift of nature and resources given to us by our MOTHER EARTH?
