Who doesn’t remember Amitabh Bachchan as Vijay Deenanath Chauhan. Amitabh Bachchan got a national award for best actor, but the movie turned out to be a dud at the box office.
This all-time famous Bollywood movie was a flop when it was 1st released. A little had to believe, isn’t it? But the Jai-Veeru couple was too hot to stop for long.
Like his previous venture Sholay, Ramesh Sippy had to deal with another slow box office start in Shaan. However this Amitabh – Shashi Kapoor starrer was greatly liked by the audience on TV.
- Andaz Apna Apna
The ‘baap’ of all comedy movies, the only movie starring Salman and Aamir Khan together, was sadly a dud on the box office. Reason. Even the critics haven’t been able to figure out yet.
- Dil Se

- Pyaar Ka Punchnama
This movie, which has since become the bible of every male bachelor, was actually a disaster at the box-office. Most probable reason – No star power.
One of the few meaningful movies done by Shahrukh Khan. The story of an NRI who returns to India to solve its energy crisis won a lot of accolades, but failed to bring the people to the theatres.
- Mera Naam Joker
Another al l time classic Bollywood movie, which couldn’t pull the audiences to the theatres. This 4hr 15 min movie traces the journey of Raju from childhood to the last day of his performance.
- Umrao Jaan
Rekha received a lot of critical acclaim, but the box office returns weren’t something to cheer about.
One of the best roles played by Hrithik Roshan till date. A good storyline. Good music. But result the same – A flop.
